Building for Those Who Serve: Ideal Cabinetry Donates Two Kitchens to the Bartow Fire Department
When Bartow Fire Department needed new kitchens for their main station and Clower Street Station, Ideal Cabinetry didn’t hesitate to step in. What started as a simple request quickly turned into a community collaboration — and a gesture of appreciation for the people who protect our hometown every day.

From Partnership to Purpose
When the Bartow Fire Department first reached out about purchasing new cabinetry for their main station, our team saw an opportunity to give back in a meaningful way — by donating not one, but two complete kitchen cabinetry sets, as well as cabinetry for the conference room at the main station.
“These firefighters spend 24 to 48 hours at a time in their stations — it’s their second home,” said Travis Hughes, who coordinated the project for Ideal Cabinetry. “When we realized how much use those kitchens get, it just made sense to provide something built to last.”

Designed for Durability and Daily Life
Our in-house design team visited the main station to take measurements and understand the crew’s needs. Knowing that the space would see constant use, they chose our Washington Valiant Onyx cabinetry, a Rigid Tough Finish (RTF) door style known for its durability, moisture resistance, and easy-clean surface.
The design included a thoughtful layout with three large refrigerator spaces, accommodating the station’s three-shift operation. Every detail was planned to help make life on duty a little easier — and a little more comfortable.
“They were super excited when they saw it come together,” Travis shared. “It wasn’t just new cabinets — it was a way of saying thank you for what they do for Bartow."
Proudly Built in Bartow, for Bartow
For Ideal Cabinetry, headquartered and built right here in Bartow, Florida, this project was more than a donation — it was a hometown connection. Supporting the men and women who serve the community every day embodies what the company stands for: craftsmanship, care, and community.
“This was personal for all of us,” Travis added. “We see these firefighters around town. They’re the ones who show up when people need help most. We just wanted to return the favor in our own way.”
More Than Cabinets — A Commitment to Community
As a third generation family business, and a proudly American manufacturer, Ideal Cabinetry takes pride in helping build not only kitchens, but also stronger communities. This project is one of several local initiatives focused on giving back to the people and places that shape who we are.
